the Bulletin: August 6th, 2025

The Bulletin is a newsletter for enrolled families that will be sent out, as needed, to share information regarding schedules, routines, and other vital information.

Today we are sharing everything you need to know about the first day of school, pick up/drop off times, and more.

Please do not unsubscribe to this newsletter as this is the main form of communication for us to share updates on routines and scheduling. If you indicated a parent does not wish to receive communication other than emergency contact, we did not include them on this mail list. If you would like both parents to receive The Bulletin going forward, please email Anna at ayakabe@tcsatx.org.

A Note from Geoff

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all TCS families as we prepare for our inaugural school year! We are incredibly excited to embark on this journey with you and your children. Over the past few weeks, our founding team has been hard at work, thoughtfully designing a learning environment that is not only innovative but also deeply rooted in our core values of curiosity, compassion, courage, and agency. It warms our hearts to create a place where every child will feel seen, heard, and celebrated. We are confident that by working together, we will build a truly special school where our students will thrive academically, emotionally, and socially as their truest and most courageous selves. Please know my door is always open for you. We look forward to a fantastic year of learning and growth together.

A Note from Your Anchor Teacher

Dear Families,

I’m Adriana Mata, and I’m thrilled to be your child’s Anchor Teacher this year at The Compass School. With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education and a deep commitment to culturally responsive teaching, I strive to create a classroom where every child feels seen, valued, and inspired to grow.

As a proud Chicana, Recognized Teacher by TEA, and current Ph.D. student, I bring both care and high expectations to our learning space. I look forward to building strong partnerships with you and fostering a joyful, empowering year for your child.

Warmly,
Adriana Mata
