Adam Hatfield

Adam taught middle and high school humanities, 2nd grade, and a mixed 3rd/4th grade class before discovering a love for working with younger learners in Kindergarten classrooms. He is an advocate for highly relational independent schools and is particularly interested in admissions work, teacher training and mentoring, curriculum and project design, school marketing, and helping grown-ups see things from a child’s perspective.  Adam is currently the Director of Enrollment Management at Riverstone International School in Boise, Idaho.

He enjoys modeling open-mindedness, curiosity, and compassion in his interactions with others and is passionate about equity in independent school admissions, family outreach and parent education, school culture, teacher development and instructional improvement, and innovative program design. He is also interested in what the emerging field of educational neuroscience can tell us about literacy and math development in the early grades.

Adam earned a BA in Secondary Education from Florida Gulf Coast University and an MEd in Independent School Leadership from George Mason University. He and his wife live in Idaho.
